Dangerous Road Erosion Recognized Just In Time By Phil B. In Port Burwell, Ontario
InstantWeatherDangerous Road Erosion Recognized Just In Time By Phil B. In Port Burwell, Ontario yesterday. These incredible and horrifying photos were shared to us by long time community member Andrew B.

Andrew B. writes "My brother (Phil B.) sent me these pictures. This was yesterday from the rain near Port Burwell Ontario. He drove over it, realized something wasn’t right, then called the municipality and then he took these pictures. Needless to say, they got the road shut down before anyone got hurt!"

"They got a garbage truck stopped just in time or it could have been disastrous. It’s just on the outskirts of Port Burwell on Glen Erie Line."

"The pavement collapsed about an hour later as you can see in this picture:"

We're so glad that no one was hurt!
If you see any erosion like this, please report it immediately by phoning 911 and additionally, the local municipality.
Thankfully, no reports of accidents have been reported with this erosion and that was likely thanks to Phil B.'s quick thinking!
A HUGE thank you to Phil B. for recognizing and reporting this!! And thank you to Andrew B. for letting us know about it and sharing these photos.
Did anyone else from the area notice this? Please let us know in the comments.
Remember folks, when there's flooding, "Turn around, don't drown."
You never know if the road below the water has been compromised!
Our safest and driest thoughts go out to those being affected by the flooding.
