Snowfall Warning Issued

Environment Canada

(Locations listed below description)

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

15 to 25 cm of snow starting tonight.

A developing low pressure system from the midwest plain states is expected to create snow and local blowing snow starting after midnight and continuing all day sunday. Easterly winds of 20 gusting to 40 km/h combined with the snowfall will create poor visibility and driving conditions for most of sunday. Total snowfall amounts on the order of 15 to 25 cm are expected.

The snow will taper off sunday night as a cold front moves through allowing for colder temperatures for the beginning of next week.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
