Southern Ontario: Snow Day (Bus Cancellation) Forecast for Thursday, January 10, 2019
InstantWeather
Disclaimer: Instant Weather has zero authority when it comes to bus and school closures. It is completely up to the school boards, bus companies, and local authorities as well as being up to parents to decide what is best for their children. This is simply our best guess based on our forecast.
Note: We’re only showing the portion of the province where the chance of a snow day is at 10% or higher. If you don’t see your region on the map then it can be assumed that your chances are lower than 10%.
Forecast Explanation: Snow squalls currently affecting areas southeast of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are expected to continue well into the overnight hours and Thursday morning. The highest chance of a snow day will be around London (Middlesex, Huron, Elgin and Lambton counties) where snow squall watches/warnings are in effect. Another area south of Georgian Bay including Collingwood and Meaford has an equal chance of a snow day, but squalls are not expected to be as organized and strong so confidence is not high. Elsewhere, chances vary between 10-25% for surrounding areas though, for the most part, we do not expect many cancellations outside of the aforementioned regions.
As always, we'll be up extra early to post any bus cancellations.
We're also going to be live tweeting all the bus cancellations using the #IWSnowDay hashtag. You can view the live feed here even without signing up for Twitter: https://goo.gl/sCC6QJ
