Southern Ontario: Snow Day (Bus Cancellation) Forecast for Wednesday, January 30, 2019

InstantWeather

Disclaimer: Instant Weather has zero authority when it comes to bus and school closures. It is completely up to the school boards, bus companies, and local authorities as well as being up to parents to decide what is best for their children. This is simply our best guess based on our forecast.

Note: We’re only showing the portion of the province where the chance of a snow day is at 10% or higher. If you don’t see your region on the map then it can be assumed that your chances are lower than 10%.

Forecast Explanation: Snow squalls are expected to become more organized and affect areas NE of Georgian Bay such as Parry Sound tomorrow morning. The Bruce Peninsula will also be affected by this squall. While significant snowfall is expected in areas further south it won’t start until late afternoon so it shouldn’t result in cancellations for tomorrow. There's also a slight chance for the Niagara Region and near Lake Ontario in Eastern Ontario (Prince Edward County in particular) due to squalls that have already put down a decent amount of snow and could continue overnight. Extreme cold warnings are in effect for many areas but we don’t expect it will get cold enough to require bus cancellations though some surprise cancellation could be possible.

As always, we'll be up extra early to post any bus cancellations.
