BARRIE: Boil Water Advisory Yonge & Big Bay Point Area Issued By The City of Barrie

The City of Barrie has issued a Boil Water Advisory now for areas near Big Bay Point and Young Street. This is such a populated area of Barrie we felt it was worth it to post on the page.

This comes after a water main broke in the area earlier today and we've heard reports of brown water:

There is a watermain break at Yonge & Big Bay Point. The intersection is closed as staff are on site working to isolate the main in question. There are likely to be many without water or experiencing low/little flow this morning. Updates will be posted to @cityofbarrie acct.
