InstantWeather
WEDNESDAY, MAY 1, 2019:
The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma (SPC) are forecasting an Enhanced Risk (3/5), highlighted in orange in the image above, surrounded by a Slight Risk (2/5) in yellow, and a Marginal Risk (1/5) in dark green, and non-severe storms in light green.
Here's what they wrote:
"The greatest potential for severe thunderstorms will be from midday through evening, across parts of north Texas and extreme southern Oklahoma. Large hail is the main risk with damaging wind gusts and tornadoes also possible #TXwx #OKwx #LAwx #ARwx"

Enhanced Risks (3/5) can end up being dangerous events so please have a plan in place to get to a shelter if required. There have already been several casualties from this system yesterday. Please take it seriously!

They also posted the image above earlier and wrote: "...Do you live in a mobile home or plan on watching your kids sports event in a large gymnasium? Do you know where to go for substantial shelter in those situations? If you live in a rural area in a mobile home, how long will it take you to get to better sheltering options? Can you get there within minutes if a warning is issued for your area, or do you need to plan your day so you can be closer to good sheltering options?... ...Share this info and comment below what your plan is to stay safe if damaging weather heads your way!"
Be safe folks!
