Snowfall Warning Issued

Environment Canada

(Locations listed below description)

Snowfall with total amounts of 10 to 20 cm is expected.

A pacific weather system will begin to move though southern alberta beginning friday night and taper off during the overnight hours on saturday. Snowfall totals are expected to reach near 20 cm.

Over southeastern portions of alberta, blowing snow over exposed areas may also reduce visibilities at times.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
