Snowfall Warning Issued

Heavy snowfall expected with total accumulations near 20 cm.

Location: Stewart.

When: Tonight and Sunday morning.

Remarks: A Pacific front will stall over the North Coast tonight before moving to the East later Sunday morning. The snow will be heaviest tonight with snowfall rates up to 3 cm per hour and accumulations near 15 cm. Further accumulations of near 5 cm are expected Sunday morning before the front moves out of the Region.

Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Public safety Canada encourages everyone to make an emergency plan and get an emergency kit with drinking water, food, medicine, a first-aid kit and a flashlight.
