Locally heavy flurries and snow squalls today.

Hazards: Local snowfall amounts of 8 to 12 cm by tonight. Visibilities may be reduced to near zero in heavy snow and local blowing snow.

Timing: Today into this evening.

Discussion: Heavy flurries and snow squalls from Georgian Bay are expected to bring bursts of heavy snow resulting in reduced visibility at times today into this evening. The flurries and snow squalls will move out of the area tonight.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. If you must drive, be prepared for areas of poor visibility.
