(Locations listed below description)

Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Freezing rain.

Location: Inland Valley locations of the North Coast including, Terrace and portions of Highway 16.

Remarks: A storm system Crossing the BC Coast will bring precipitation to the Region today. With a cold, sub-zero airmass residing in many inland valleys, freezing rain is forecast through the day. Some degree of warming is expected through the afternoon and we may see freezing rain transition to rain, however the timing of this change remains uncertain at this point. It is possible that the threat of freezing rain carries into the evening, before coming to an end.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break.
