Heavy snow today.

Locations: East Columbia, East Kootenay - North including Invermere, Trans-Canada Highway - Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass, West Columbia, North Columbia, Kinbasket, North Thompson, Arrow Lakes - Slocan Lake, Kootenay Lake, McGregor, Yellowhead, and Yellowhead Highway - tete Jaune Cache to the Alberta border.

Total snowfall accumulations: 10 to 20 cm, locally higher.

Remarks: An Arctic front moving across eastern British Columbia is bringing heavy snow to the Region.

Snowfall accumulations of 10 to 20 cm are expected before the heavy snow eases late this afternoon.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
