Poor visibility in snow in blowing snow is expected, especially over higher elevations.

Total snowfall: 5 to 15 cm (highest over elevated terrain).

Maximum wind gusts: Generally easterly 80 km/h.

Locations: Southwestern Newfoundland.

Time span: Saturday evening.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
