Severe Thunderstorm Warning Replaces Tornado Warning

At 3:52 P.M. Cdt, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a dangerous thunderstorm capable of producing very strong wind gusts, golf ball to tennis ball size hail and heavy rain.

This large thunderstorm stretches from miniota North to birtle and is moving East at 40 km/h.

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather Approaches. Very large hail can damage property, break windows, dent vehicles and cause serious injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Remember, severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes. Lightning kills and injures canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: Large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
