Temperatures are forecast to fall rapidly. Ponding water, slush, and any falling precipitation will freeze as the temperature drops.

What: A combination of rain and snowmelt is expected to freeze suddenly.

When: Continuing into this evening.

Additional information: As a cold front moves through the area, rain will change to snow as temperatures rapidly drop. Snow cover will make icy surfaces difficult to detect.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
