Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued

At 2:55 a.m. Edt, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing strong wind gusts and heavy rain.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from granton to John e. Pearce Provincial Park, moving East at 80 km/h.

Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts.

Locations impacted include: London, St. Thomas, Woodstock, Aylmer, ingersoll, Tillsonburg, Shedden, Port Stanley, Belmont, dorchester, Port Bruce Provincial Park and innerkip.

Take immediate cover if a thunderstorm Approaches. If outside, protect yourself from flying debris and hail.

Severe thunderstorms can produce tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are expected to produce damaging hail, wind or rain.

Emergency management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather Approaches.
